Individual employees bear the responsibility for a company's success, particularly those in middle and upper management. The majority of a company's achievements can be attributed to their skills, expertise, and, not least, their loyalty.
Particularly in a compact market such as Georgia, an individual's award holds greater value and visibility than in larger markets. Nevertheless, an award is merely a title, it must be endowed with substance and values and should not be a laurel to rest upon.
In industries, that rely more on intellectual capabilities than manual labor, and on skills rather than physical assets, the role of management becomes even more pivotal and dominant in the success of a business. It is my hope, that business owners in Georgia recognize the significance of their employees and equitably share the fruits of the company's success with them.
